Title: Time Machine freezes backing up on a LS-CHL F/W 1.06
Post by: ajbaum on December 27, 2009, 09:31:06 PM

After trying 3 or 4 times, I can finally reliably connect to my LS.

I even have managed to back it up - twice.

All the other times, it starts to back up, then freezes, usually when it gets to the "finishing backup" message in Time Machine (though I've also had it freeze in the "preparing to backup" phase as well)

These are hard freezes - the power switch is the only way I've been able to find to get it unstuck.

I have both the Mac and the LS wired on ethernet; the LS has a fixed IP address.

The Mac is running MacOS 10.5.8

Has anyone else seen something like this?

(out of curiousity: has anyone gotten Time Machine to work without manually creating the sparsebundle, just using the Buffalo web-based interface?)
