Title: How to set web access resctrictions for folders/users
Post by: mckonen on December 18, 2009, 01:49:15 PM

I have created several users and one with read only rights for certain folder in the hard drive, problem is that when I log in with this restricted account there are shown all the folders, not only that "guest" folder. So could somebody tell how to do it from to beginning!

In the web access tab under folder setup, click on the orage tab next to a share and change the web access settings to "use inherited folder permissions"

I managed to solve this by changing the web access settings for all users to "use inherited folder permissions". But now I can't access these folders from my local PC? I assume that I should be accessed from my local PC without any password or restrictions?

Try disconnecting from the shares, rebooting the computer and remapping them.
