Title: Active Directory and TeraStation III
Post by: Hurley on December 17, 2009, 11:39:54 AM

If anyone out there is having issues joining a TeraStation III (or TeraStation Duo) to Active Directory, check to see if you have port trunking and Jumbo Frames enabled.  I had everything configured correctly, but with those two features enabled it wouldn't work.  Once port trunking and Jumbo frames were disabled I was able to authenticate.  After I was able to join, I had to re-enable those two features and then everything was working.  Hope this helps!

I have a Linkstation but I'm having the same problem. Where would I find these settings?

Does your domain controller require Digitally Signed SMB Packets? On Windows 2003 Server these policies are enabled by default.  They need to be set to 'Disable', not 'Enable', or 'Not Defined'.  If not I would initialize the unit and set it back up.  Make sure the settings are correct:
