Hello all.

 

Bought this hdd yesterday and finaly today i wanted to format it to NTFS. I used windows format, when format was finished program said: this device was unable to format.. somethingf like that. Now blue light have been on 2-3 hours already, what this hdd is doing now? formatting automaticly to fat32, installing those default programs to hdd? ...

Ok. It seems that this HDD have extra memory or something to backup everything up.

 

Everythging is now ok. Hdd is fat32 again and now what i do, if i want to format this to NTFS? Windows format is unstable for this hdd.

There shouldn't be any problem using the windows formatter to format the drive.. What OS are you using?

Win Xp and windows 7.

 

I was able to format with partitionmagic. now this hdd makes wierd noise when it writes data, I sent this hdd back to where i bought it, and they send new one.. too bad that I've already stored all the important stuffs there :/
