I've recently upgraded an earlier Linkstation to a new 1.5TB version.
I'm having two problems which I didn't with the older model.
Firstly when I perform a backup to a USB drive, even though the log shows that all files have been transferred and the relevant amount of space has been used when I open the folder on the USB drive it's empty, i've tried this in MAC OS X and Windows XP, also with and without password access.
My second problem is similar to the first in that in Windows the main network share appears to be empty even though I have Windows support ticked, I can access the files on my Mac's however, and again i've tried it with and without access restrictions.
The earlier drive had none of these problems, just plugged it in and everything worked, I could access the backup copy of the files etc. One lesser thing i've noticed, the backup options doesn't offer Complete append/differential together like the earlier model even though it is mentioned in the help button?
I've also upgraded to the latest firmware.
