Title: HD-PE500U2 Re-format
Post by: nabinoz on December 11, 2009, 12:37:34 AM

Hi  Following my purchase of a Buffalo Ministation HD-PE500U2, I have reformatted the drive to NTFS, the issue i now have is; having copied the folders to a different drive, prior to formatting, and then copying the folders back at the completion of the format, I am unable to open the folders with an error saying;

F APP BUFFALO BuffaloIntst.exe

The specified path does not exist.

Check the path and try again.

[the message contains 'back slashes where the gaps are, but unable to insert them from my Asus laptop due to wrong keyboard settings, but that's another story?]

What do I need to do to solve this issue?

Do I need to download the drive contents from your site?

Many thanks in advance, here's hoping???

Registration;
How do I register my purchase on the Australian site, as i am unable to register through the main Buffalo site?

Many Thanks

The "main" buffalo site is the US site (buffalotech.com), if you click on the map in the upper right hand corner you can just select Australia.

And yes I would just download the software from our website.

Thanks, Found the Aussie site ok, but could not find the download page for the software, is it possible to walk me through the process to get the software??

Also, any clue's to the file system used on the Buffalo, does not make any sense to me? 'not dumb, honest'

Thanks again

That should be fixed soon, also the file format it is in by default is Fat32
