Title: linkstation pro duo, vista, print server
Post by: gcbailey on September 22, 2008, 05:41:30 PM

I cannot for the life of me get the print server to work in vista.  Do you have to copy any files over to the linkstation?  I have a HP laserjet p1005 attached.  When I browse the linkstation in vista I have my data folders along with a "lp" icon and a "printers" folder which is empty.

I've tried installing the printer by add a local printer/local port/ name \\linkstation\lp and then put the drivers.  Any suggestions?

Try just right clicking on the lp folder and connect.  This will prompt you for a driver install, that vista will have.
