Title: ministation cobalt usb 2.0

I am running an Acer aspire laptop on xp

I bought a new ministation cobalt hd-pe320u2/bk

I pluged it in as per directions nothing happens

The computer says it has found new hardware but can't load it any suggestions ????

Depending on the operating system, you can right click on computer or my computer and go to manage, then disk management in computer management, the plug in the device and see what changes, should show up as disk one, right click and initilize, assign drive letter, or even format to ntfs to use the drive.  New simple volume could be an option.
