Title: Transfer Speed between Mac OS 10.6 and HD-CELU2

I was just trying ot transfer over LAN 1.8GB between my macbook and my External LAN HD and the system told me it coult take up to 3 hours, this is just crazy!

 

I'm transfering via smb://[HD name]

 

Please advise...

I did update the firmware from the original one that was:

BUF-CELU-1.4.B LOADER 3.SW1.9   to

 

BUF-CELU-1.4.7 LOADER 3.SW1.9

 

now the same 1.8GB will only take 12 minutes over LAN! not bad... good job guys!

Under gigabit switches and Cat 5e cabling, our Flexnet 1TB copied a 2.08Gb file from a 2.0Ghz+ Dual Core Mac connected to a Firewire 400 drive in about 5mins and 8 seconds.  Not bad considering that this is not the speediest LAN drive.
