Title: partitioning HD-CXUE drive station
Post by: ypsichick on November 30, 2009, 05:17:49 PM

I have to send my laptop in for repairs os vista home premium sp2-32-bit and need to copy my os/hdd to the drive station...  I will have to access the information on the Drive Station (ds) from another laptop with a different OS Vista home basic.

Can I do this by partitioning?  How do I partition? And can I use the program that came with the Drive Station?

Just make sure that it is formatted to NTFS and then you should just be able to drag and drop files, or use a backup program

I am trying to use the backup program Norton 360 v3... on Vista Home Basic OS Service pack 2 and I can see the hard drive but cannot use it.  Norton only sees it as a disk drive

I used it previously on Vista Home Prem - and it worked okay so now what?  I cannot get it to recognize it on the computer I need to restore / retrieve it from.

Hmm, Im not quite sure about that.  It sounds like the issue may be with the computer.
