Title: Re: Flexnet 1 terabyte login problem to a password protected shared folder with windows 7
Post by: oplok72 on November 28, 2009, 08:14:48 PM

My problem is, I have a Flexnet 1 terabyte with enabled password protect for the shared folder \\hostname\share\.  I have no problem connecting to the shared folder using windows xp but I cannot login using windows 7.  I have tried different ways to do it such as adding the domain\hostname before the username "hostname\admin" but It is still not working.  I can only connect to it with Windows 7 if I turned off the

password protect.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

I found the solution:

1. Run secpol.msc.
2. Under Local Policies -> Security Options
Change the value of "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" from:
NTVLM2 responses only
to:
LM and NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated
