Title: Linkstation Quad Direct Copy

HI,

 

When I plug my external HD or USB drive on either the front or rear USB port. The function light doesnt turn on. The manual says the light will turn on and i have to push the function button to initiate the copy. 

 

I have also tried just pushing the function button after waiting for 20 secs just to see if i can initiate a direct copy.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure either usb hard drive has it's own supplemental power supply.  If it's just a flash drive or is powered off the usb port it probably will not work as there is not a lot of power going to that usb port(s). 

 

If you are using a supp. powered usb drive and still cannot see anything in the web gui for the usb drive then call in for some more trouble shooting and if need be a replacement.
