Title: LinkStation Pro™ LS-XHL - flashing constantly blue - no access
Post by: Bellalunadk on November 28, 2009, 03:14:19 AM

Having a LS PRO LS-XHL 1T.  Maybe it was after a generel powerdown, it now flashing blue (quick), constantly in the LED.

Power off switch will not power it down - I have to take powercable off to switch it down.

Have tried to turn on with function key pressed, released a repressed. Then both LED af function key flashes syncronious, not getting any further.

I am not able to get in contact with the device, either on netcable or USB (no reaction from PC when pulling USB into PC).

Any ideas ?

You won't get any access with a usb connection.  If you know the ip address or try 192.168.11.150 as the factory default, see if you are able to ping it.  See if the firmware can find it on the network or directly connected to a pc.  if neither of those work, I would try many times to hold that function button during power up, and release and press and try it a few times.  If it is within a year and you have a valid proof of purchase or receipt we can setup a replacement for you and get you a working device.

I gave the device IP 192.168.1.52 when installed and I am able to PING it with ready response from a command line prompt.

Are not able to reach it thru IE.

NAS Navigator2 are not able to find the device.

Tried to download firmware upgrade 1.10 and execute the LSUpdater.exe - this could not find the devide either.

Will a uninstall/reinstall of the product help ?

Or is there another possibility ?

tried http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/Firmware-upgrade-bricked-Linkstation-LS-XHL-E06/m-p/16934#M13633 without avail. Any luck yet?
