Title: IP access control
Post by: aivary on November 26, 2009, 05:05:01 PM

Hi! TerraStation III seems like a bargain for a NAS but there's something I want to know before getting it (I couldn't find that info from the manual on the web). The thing is that I'd like to specify the range of IPs that are allowed to contact the NAS. Can anyboy tell me, does TeraStation III include such IP access control tool?

The only way that you can restrict access by IP address is with NFS. The SMB, FTP, and AFP protocols do not have IP restrictions on the device.
