Title: linkstation pro ls xhl and mkv support
Post by: mluckins on November 24, 2009, 06:23:57 PM

For some reason I cannot get mkv files to play over my network to my samsung b650 tv I can play them through usb but the format is not recognized when I try to stream from the NAS. The latest firmware is installed, anyone know if the linkstation recognizes mkv as a media format? I can however get them to play if I change the extension to avi. Hoping this will be fixed in a new firmware version, anyone know?

Looking at the samsung forums it appear that your TV's DLNA client does not support mkv files but i cannot be sure.

I'm having same problem streaming mkv files from Linkstation Duo to my Samsung LCD TV LA40C550. Same mkv I can stream thru USB drive, Serviio no problem though.
