Title: How to setup limited shared folders
Post by: huyvt on November 24, 2009, 05:35:13 AM

Hi,

I'm a newbie. I'm using an LS-500GL. When assigning a restricted shared folder to users, I can not do it. May anybody explain some terms for me, please?\

- I have 4 PCs. Each has a name. Every PC is used by some users. Those PCs are put in 2 workgroups named Fininance and Technique.

So:

- In the Group management, do i have to add names of workgroups or PC names? (I tried to add workgroup names but PCs that are not in same workgroup of the LS-GL have just recognized the common share folder.)

- In the user management, I got trouble when adding user names without password (because some user names are for public use, it don't have any password.)

Thank you for very much for your help

Just use the user option, and you have to put a password to each username.  If you don't need a password, don't user folder permissions.
