we have a LS210D Link Station and can not get email notifications to work

please help

 :'( Similar issue here with another Linkstation (and gmail), for what it's worth.

If you have two factor authentication enabled in Gmail then you have to set up an app password for email notifications to work: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en (https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en)
