Title: Linkstation QUAD and Norton Ghost
Post by: dFish on November 23, 2009, 12:18:24 PM

Has anyone been successful in using Norton Ghost, any version, to backup a Linkstation QUAD mapped drive to a USB Drive?  The Ghost product says must use local drive.

I'm so happy that NO ONE responded to my query.  So glad I bought this product and NO ONE answers my simple question, even the Moderator ignored it.

I have not successfully used it but I have not tried.  It should work to a share folder if its mapped (I would assume).

I have not been able to backup the LS QUAD with Ghost as it's a network drive. The backup software that came with the drive was fairly worthless as it would not work with my Vista64.

I now just backup the contents of the LS with a copy and paste to a USB drive that I plug into my local machine. If anyone else has a better method let me know.

I'm pretty sure you can get a version of memeo that now works with Vista 64bit from memeo's website.
