Title: Linkstation Live media server port
Post by: drownie1 on November 22, 2009, 01:34:57 PM

Hi,

I'm using a Linkstation Live (LS-CHLE47) with  firmware version 1.21.

My OS is Windows XP SP3.Router is Netgear  DG834GT.

I'm trying to set up the media server to use with my PlayStation Portable web browser. It works fine with the PS3 with DLNA.

Which port does the media server use? Is there a better way of achieving what I want?

Any help is appreciated, cheers.

Media server port is 9000.  That sounds like a good way of doing it (pretty much same thing at my house)

Can you do it this way?

In my PSP browser I enter http://192.168.0.2:9000 for the media server port on my Linkstation and it looks like the I'm logging into web access but the ID/password entry fields do not get displayed. This has got to be down to the browser in the PSP, which is NetFront, I believe.

Do you have any ideas on browser settings? As I said before the media server function with the PS3 works seamlessly.
