Title: LS-GL V1.15 firmware upgrade fails
Post by: jrg1york on November 13, 2008, 11:14:18 AM

I've got an LS-GL 250, running v1.11

when I try and update to V1.15 of the firmware, i run LSupdater from my PC, it finds my LS on the network, asks me for the admin password and then returns:

"LS-GL that needs updating wasn't found"

any idea what I might have missed?

thansk

John

I don't think you missed anything... I'm seeing the exact same problem with the latest firmware (dated 11/6/08) for my Terastation Pro II. I run TSUpdater.exe, it sees my unit, but won't accept the correct admin password.

Clearly something is whacked with all of the latest firmwares.

i re-tried the upgrade after using the Maintenance | Initialization option in Nas Navigator, and it worked perfectly.

Initialization (on the LS, at least) does not destroy the data which is on the drive.
