Title: Linkstation CHL 1TB and iTunes playlists
Post by: PattenS on November 18, 2009, 02:11:00 PM

Hello,

I have bought a Buffalo LinkStation CHL last week.

First I'm really satisfy with this device. Runs absolutely reliable and it was easy to setup.

But I've some problems with the built-in ITunes Library.

My iTunes finds the Linkstation immediately and I can search for files and can play them.

But I find no possibility to create playlists.

I already installed firmware 1.21, but it doesn't work yet.

Can anyone help me how to create playlists?

Thank you in advance.

You cannot create a playlist using the media player.

if you want to create a playlist in iTunes with the content of the linkstation then map the drive manually in My Computer.

Change the iTunes default library to this new mapped drive. (Preferences => Advanced)

This will import all the music from the Linkstation into the iTunes the library and then you can create a playlist.
