Title: Firmware option not available Linkstation Duo Pro web browser
Post by: Louie on November 16, 2009, 09:25:21 PM

I have tried for hours to figure out how to upgrade my firmware from ver 1.02 to ver 1.09.  I upgraded to latest version of NasNav2 and downloaded firmware version to local drive.  I have searched the KB and forums without luck.  According to one post it instructs you to open browser and type Linkstation IP.  Then select Maintenance tab on left for Firmware option.   I have followed the directions but there is not a firmware option.  Only options are 1) Mail Notification 2) UPS Settings 3) Shutdown 4) Initialization

Here is the system configuration

Linkstation Duo Pro Model # LS-W1.0TGL/RL running

OS: Win XP Pro

Browswer: Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 and MS IE 8.0

Router: D-Link DIR-655

Any help is appreciated.

Have the linkstation connected to the network and download the firmware to your local drive.  Make sure all of your firewalls are disabed on the computer and extract the firmware folder.  Then you can just click on the LSUpdater.exe file.  This program will find the unit on the network and you can just click update.

Thanks, that took care of the upgrade.  After spending way too much time looking for the answer I would suggest that you add a document to all firmware pages that provides the instructions.  It is not in manual or posted clearly on the website.
