Title: LinkStation Quad (LS-QL/1D) Fails When Continue Writting Files Larger than 128GB in Total
Post by: ibic on November 16, 2009, 08:03:21 AM

Hi,

I just bought a LinkStation Quad, and found that when I copy files continuously, LinkStation will because unaccessable after about 128GB of data copied. I can't then even shut down by holding the power button longer than 5 second. The only way to shut it down is by forcibly disconnecting the power, which is not very nice. This appears to me to be that the OS/Firmware of the LinkStation Quad has somewhat hung/run out of control, and I guess that is due to some memory leak in the write procedure?

Fyr, the version of the firmware running on this LS-QL/1D is 1.11. My network card is 100 Mbit/s, using direct cable connection (no router in between)

What is probably the root cause and how can I resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.
