Title: HS-DH1000GL with Linux + windows

Hi, I would like to purchase a  HS-DH500GL to use with both windows boxes and linux boxes. I would like to know what will work and what won't. I would like auto matic backup of the windows boxes and just network storage for the Linux ones. Will this product work for this purpose?

Yes, it will do exactly what you are looking for. The unit is packaged with a copy of Memeo Autobackup, which if you choose to use it with the Windows machines will automatically backup files to the unit. For the Linux machines it will just connect through Samba for network transfers.

Thanks for the info. i purchased it online last night. I am sure I will have some other questions after I get it setup.
