Title: HD-CE1.OTU2 & Win 7
Post by: Rich on November 11, 2009, 03:03:41 PM

Does anyone have a work around so that Win 7 recognizes the drive and lets me read/write to it.

In explorer it shows the drive in my case 'F' but I cannot view the drive as Win 7 says that it's not readable and needs to be formatted, which I don't want to do as it contains lots of data.

I have no problem with the drive with WinXP or Linux systems, just WIN 7.

Win 7 install all the drivers for the device and I've even tried updating them but it says they are up to date.

Is the Windows 7 computer a desktop or a laptop?

If you could try pulling the data off (with you other computers) and try formatting it with the windows 7 computer.  This drive shouldnt have any issues with windows 7.
