Title: Can't login to 'share'
Post by: meshman on November 11, 2009, 11:13:00 AM

Hi!  We have a terrastation model #TS-1-DTGL/R5.  It's in full operation and seems to be working ok.  I can get to its admin interface and all seems well.  So I need to access this gadget from our Windows network.  Its hostname is "STORAGE".  So I go to \\storage and get 4 shares.  One of them is the default 'share' folder.  I double click on it and it asks me for a username and password.  Here, I'm completely stumped.  I've tried everything and cannot log into this share.

From the admin interface, I created myself an account on the terrastation.  I then went into Shared Folders and chose the 'share' share.  It's set to read/write, Windows and Backup access are selected and Access Restrictions are enabled.  Under the "User" section, I've moved my new username into the read/write column.

What more do I need to do?  I've tried my username and password every possible way, I've changed the password to something else...

Any ideas or am I missing something simple?

Thanks!

Edit:  Nevermind, I needed the Vista patch for Windows 7.  Works good now.
