I have setup my linkstation and have it up and running, however I am having issues with the username/password for the web access. I have tried all the combinations for the username possible (admin, administrator, BuffaloNAS.com name, etc) and passwords (admin password, BuffaloNAS.com key, etc) but still cannot get it to accept anything. When anonymous access is selected I can get into it no problem, however I would like a layer of security so that any clown who knows or guesses my buffaloNAS name can't access my stuff.
Any help in getting the login info sorted out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You need to use a user that you created in the "user managment" section of the web interface. Do not use the admin account as this is mainly for the configuration page and firmware updates. You will use that username and password that you set up.
I restaged my LInkstation Pro Duo and cannot remember the password I used. When I try to sign up for web access in the it keeps telling me that my passsword is incorrect. How can I reset the device name and password so that I can reconfigure web access?
It depends on which hardware revision. Please make your own thread as this problem is not related.
