Title: TFTP Boot Recovery HS-DHTGL-R5 2.13.exe files won't download after E04
Post by: apesa on November 09, 2009, 11:40:03 PM

Ok, So I want to try to restore the boot image on my TS Live using  TFTP. I can't get the boot image to download. I have tried Firefox, an FTP client and plain old right click and "save as". I have read to keep trying to download it but come on. Is there any other way to get this file. I have already tried rebooting into EM mode, forced kernel restore to 2.14 twice. Pulled the drives out one by one, nothing.

Second time I have had this thing out of service, last time I was told I would have to reformat the whole thing. I gotta say, this software RAID setup is flimsy

This is the link I am following from the TFTP Faq. ftp://24.153.165.234/disk1/share/nas-recovery/

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

The TFTP procedure can be done with a generic TFTP client. I've got a guide on doing so here:
https://buffalonas.miraheze.org/wiki/Restoring_Stock_Firmware_via_TFTP

I think the procedure for getting this model into TFTP might be a little different but the display should tell you when it's in TFTP mode so it should be relatively straightforward.
