Title: LinkStation DuoPro System Error 64
Post by: mmaki on November 06, 2009, 06:45:15 PM

I have three LinkStation DuoPro (LS-WTGL/R1-V3 F/W 3.09) devices. I am using a workgroup with Delegate Authority to LinkStation.

I can connect to the default share with Linux and Windows Server 2003 but not Windows XP Pro SP3. Every time I try to map a drive I get "System error 64 - the specified network name is no longer available."

Thanks for any help.

Mike

To verify you are using the ip address to map the drive.  On the xp box go to start run \\ip and that should work to map the drive.

All attempts to connect were via IP address for host name. I have not verified, but I think it might have to do with a domain GPO that requires all clients to communicate with servers to have digital signing enabled. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/cc728025(WS.10).aspx

Do you know if the Buffalo LinkStations support digital signing?

I will test this week to confirm.
