Title: LS421DE Replacement Drive Won't Configure Correctly
Post by: u04601 on May 10, 2020, 08:37:45 PM
LS421DE purchased in November 2014
Loaded with 2 each WD Red 2TB drives
Drive 1 failed.
Purchased new WD Red 2TB drive in April 2020
Installed new drive in bay #1

When I select both drives to create new array I keep getting error "Creating the RAID array has failed".
I backed up all of the data from the good drive, reformatted both drives, created a share folder but cannot get the system to create the Raid 1 array.

Any ideas other than buying 2 more drives?

P.S.  I have not figured out how to attach photos yet, working on it.......
