Title: Multiple Shares per Volume
Post by: wdthomas on November 01, 2009, 04:17:54 PM

Hello, I have a TeraStation Live running firmware 2.14.  The unit uses RAID 5 for the four drives.

I am using the default share (named "share") to gain access to the unit, but I would like to set up a second share that leads to a single subdirectory.  Unfortunately, when I set up a share it only gives me the option of linking it to a volume.  I cannot set up a share that points to a specific directory underneath a volume.

Does anyone know how to set up a share that points to a specific directory on the volume?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

David

Unfortunately there isn't a way that I know of.  The only way to set up a folder inside of a share is to just create a folder inside the share itself.
