Title: Unable to delete folders from Vista backup
Post by: bbothomley on October 30, 2009, 05:38:25 PM

Hello.

I have a Linkstation LS-WTGL/R1-V3 with firmware 3.08.

I tried using the Vista Backup program and it worked OK but was not happy with it.

I have gone back to the Memeo program but now find that I can not delete the folders that Vista Backup created

on the Linkstation. It appears that I do not have access to the folders.

Is there a way to access the drive at the Linux level and delete these folders or do I have to re-format the drive array?

Thanks.

I would first check to make sure that no access restrictions are set on those folders (at the share level).  If there isn't then the only option would be deleting the share or reformat the array.

Thanks PCPiranha for the reply.

Deleting the share was the only way I could delete that folder. Most interesting.
