Title: 1.73 firmware
Post by: mh1983 on April 03, 2020, 05:54:36 AM
Hope everyone's safe and well.

Pleasantly surprised to see a new firmware upgrade for the TS-XE line. I see it fixes a few vulnerabilities amongst other things. Does anyone know if SMB1 is still required for a file share over the network? Thanks!

I have installed the new 1.73 firmware on a TS-XEL, and I don't see any area to change SMB protocols in the console.

I would assume this unit is still SMB 1.x only, since no changes have been noted in the changelog.

If you're worried about risk, make a virtual machine to connect to it using SMB 1.x
