Title: Files not showing from Mac but visible from Windows
Post by: rboyle on October 28, 2009, 09:19:12 AM

Product: Terastation HS

Firmware: 2.03

My terastation, which was working fine has developed a problem.  Initially, it disappeared from the network, so I rebooted the unit.  I can access the files on the NAS fine from windows, or via FTP but not from any of my macs using afp.  The macs see the unit and will connect.  I can see the files in the 'info' folder, but the 'share' folder which contains all my files is blank ('0 files').  Mystifying.  I have recently upgraded the macs to Snow Leopard so this might be connected, although I'm pretty sure the problem did not occur straight away.

Any ideas?

Can I have the full model number please?  Also can you connect using smb?  Lastly make sure your firmware is updated.  Keep me posted.

The full model number is HS-D2.0TGL/R5 and yes, I'm connecting with smb.  I have version 2.03 firmware installed, which I think is the latest.

Actually, my mac has now started seeing all the files fine again.  Wierd.

At this point it appears to be file corruption. I would pull the data off (now that you see it) and format the HDD
