Title: can you use a HS-DHTGL/R5 for security cameras?

was cleaning out my office and found my old Terastation Pro and was thinking what to do with it.
Has anyone used one to hook up wifi cameras ? what has worked and what hasn't??

I imagine if you have cameras that can deliver pictures/video over FTP you could use it to store the data.

You could also install Debian on it:
https://github.com/1000001101000/Debian_on_Buffalo

Theoretically you could then install any application you want, provided it runs on a headless armv5 linux box with very low CPU/RAM.

I've not looked into anything related to security cameras but may some day in the future.
