I have a linkstation LS-CHL1T with firmware 1.07 that wasn't letting me use more than 4GB. Anther a few attempts to solve the problem, I decided to format the unit. This was 26 hours ago and the unit still on its 2 task and is showing that still missing almost 8 hours to fish that task. IS THAT NORMAL????????

That is all the information I can get from it now:

Complete Disk Format in progress.

Settings changes cannot be performed at this time.

The file sharing service is also disabled.
