Title: TS5400D- UEFI or Legacy boot?
Post by: Partytimexcellent on February 11, 2020, 08:38:43 PM
I am trying to boot in legacy mode for a Linux install but I don't see any options in the BIOS. Anyone know if these machines are UEFI only?

They are not UEFI only. You shouldn't need to change any settings to boot into a linux environment. It is usually sufficient to write the hybrid iso to a usb device and then boot from it (switch the switch on the back to usb).

I've done this with Ubuntu live cds and with my custom Debian installer:

Thanks for the reply- I was able to resolve my issue and it wasn't a legacy boot problem after all! Cheers
