Title: Mini Station Metro Beeps on start-up
Post by: catherine550 on October 26, 2009, 08:42:30 PM

I just bought a Min-Station Metro HD-PX320U2/RD. I just transferred a bunch of stuff (pictures, music etc) from my old computer on to the drive, it worked just fine. Five minutes later I plugged the drive into my new computer and when the computer boots up, it just makes this continuous beeping sound and I have to turn the computer off and unplug the drive. I am running Window XP Home, Intel Core2Duo 3GHz, and 3.25 GB RAM. I have an Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard.

Please help!

Thanks!

Catherine

Is the drive making the beep or is the computer?  Are the files accessable?

The computer is what is beeping. I am not sure if the files are actually accesible. The computer will not continue to boot up with the drive plugged in.

Make sure you are using the back USB ports.  Also try updating your chipset and bios.
