Title: Terastation 3410DN - Expand array unit without erasing data
Post by: Luciana on December 23, 2019, 03:11:36 AM
Good morning,
I own a Terastation 3410DN with 4 3TB drives configured in RAID5. Since I'm running out of space I replaced one by one all the drives with 4TB rebuilding every time the array. I was wondering if there is a way to expand the array unit now, like I did in my Qnap.
In the manual https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1036790571.pdf  (https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1036790571.pdf) I found this at page 36 : RMM (RAID Mode Manager)
With RMM, you can create or expand a RAID array without erasing the data on the drives.
But I've never seen thi RMM anywhere while replacing drives to my NAS.
Any help?
Thank you
