Title: Terastation 5810DN questions
Post by: emailt on November 11, 2019, 09:52:27 AM
Hi!  Great forum here.  I hope someone can help me with this.

I am trying to find out if the Terastation TS5810DN has a "boot from USB" feature and if so how to enable it.

I know that the TS5800D has this feature as well as a VGA display port.  The 5800D has a USB boot switch (label #13 on the unit's Diagram) along with a VGA port (label #12) as seen in the manual:  http://manual.buffalo.jp/buf-doc/35020018-25_EN.pdf

However, here is the manual for the 5810DN model:   http://manual.buffalo.jp/buf-doc/35021131-22_EN.pdf

Unfortunately I do not see these two options which would be quite useful for booting purposes.

Am I missing something or is there another way to boot from USB on the 5810DN?
Is there a VGA port available anywhere (even if need to open it?)

Thanks!

The TS5810 uses an ARM based processor, it therefore has no BIOS option to boot from USB and does not have a video port.
