Hello everybody,
We have a new TeraStation, we tried to formating from an ubuntu machine in ext3 type, but that should take about 8 days ( 3 To ), so we stopped the formating.
Then we tried the software given with the TS from windows machine (after using the release button in the front of the panel)
but it couldn't end its installation because missing "microsoft iSCSI initiator", so I install "initiator 2.08" and try again.
Then installation complete, i can register the iSCSI Hard Drive and connect( like in the manual),
but i can't see my terastation in the disk management.
Windows version : XP SP3
Network conf : machine and terastation in the same subnetwork, GUI enable by address of the terastation
Can someone help me, please ?
Thank a lot,
Ivy
Have you been able to logon to the GUI and create a volume? Also is the iSCSI service enabled on the TS?
Hi Davo,
Thank you for your answer,
Yes, we can logon via the GUI and we're able to create or remove a volume, and the iSCSI is enable on the TS.
we backup our data into external HDs and the TS will be our other storage device.

Hi,
My boss solved this problem, Windows XP 32 bit can't deal with partition greater than 2 To.
So we had to enable the LVM, destroy our volume and create two smaller volumes.
Then its ok for windows
Best wishes
