ts2.0tgl/r5

1 new drive

all 4 partitions removed - and 4 drives reinstalled - trying to get rid of a degrade error

will boot in EM Mode

will boot normal

EM Mode changed name to ts-tgl-em

Changed name in the .ini file to same'

The nas viewer sees it  but says it needs firmware update

cannot update - updater does not see it

cannot get into the gui at all

I am stuck

Do you have any firewalls running?  If you do shut them down but I would recommend booting your PC into Safe Mode with Networking just to make sure nothing is running in the background.  Make sure that Nas Navi is shut down and disabled.  If that dosent work then try a force firmare update.    Which can be found here.

Will this work if there are four blank drives in the unit?

Or am I going to have to solve the blank drive issue first?

If it is in EM mode do I have to solve that problem with firmware before working on the drives?

btw I have another terastation that is working. It is a different capacity. Is there a way to mirror the good drives onto the new drives to get the gui back?

unit is 192.168.0.91 and is booted with the reset button held down.

Name is TS-TGL-EM (was changed when it was booted into EM

Changed name in .ini file - Left password as password

Server is 192.168.0.120 and is in safe mode with networking

set the debug flag

open the updater and it says it cannot find TS-TGL-EM that needs updating

The NASNavi that comes with tftp files and looks like the updater screen can find it at 192.168.0.91. Regular nasnavi finds it but says it need firmware, but uppdater does not find it. Is it possible I have the wrong updater? The file i downloaded is TS-HTGL_1.33_1.32.zip and the unit is a TS2.0TGL/R5

You have the wrong download. Download the files without the H in the part number.

TS-HTGL  has an H - this is the wrong part number

TS-2.0TGL/R5 no H - right part number for you.

When I go inyto the download area and select the TS2.0TGL/R5 this (TS-HTGL_1.33_1.32.zip) it the file it gives me. I have tried selecting it a number of ways and it always give me the same file. Can you provide the download link?
