Title: Can't access data after Firmware Update
Post by: irtehpasty on October 17, 2009, 09:49:06 PM

I have a 1TB LS-CHL and recently decided to perform a firmware update from version 1.06 to 1.07.  Ever since the update I cannot access the data on the drive from Windows Explorer (on XP SP3) or from the NasNavi2 program.  However I can still log into the Linkstation from the web client as the admin.  The network settings seem to be all correct, and the firmware updater said it completed successfully, so I have no idea what the issue is.  Explorer just keeps giving me an 'Access Denied' message, even though I have given full read/write access to all users on my network from the web client.

When the drive restarts the blue LED turns red... which really doesn't look promising.

I'm not against having to reformat the drive or maybe even buy a new one but I really need to get the data off of it first.  Any help would be appreciated.

When the light turns red does it blink in any particular pattern?
