Title: Drive format
Post by: JimDavis on October 13, 2009, 04:29:38 PM

We have a LinkStation but the network will not see the unit correctly and it fails all diagnostic checks.  I believe the drive is good but the electronic board maybe bad.  I would like to remove the drive and connect directly to a PC. First is that possible?  Second what if the file format i.e. FAT32, NTFS or is it a Linux product?  Office did not backup and they are toasted.... Thanks

It's xfs.  Need to mount in linux/ubuntu to get data off or contact data recovery.
