Title: Can't open web admin page Nas Navigator2 on Snow Leopard
Post by: alexb on October 12, 2009, 03:52:56 PM

Hi I've just installed NASNavigator2 (version 2.18)  on my macbook. I have the Link Station Live 1TB (LS-CHL66F - firmware 1.10) and can't seem to open the web admin page from the software. When I select the drive and file>Configure from the menu a new window opens with 2 tabs - Web/IP address - I enter the admin password at the bottmom and click on Open Webpage, but nothing happens - the password box just blanks out and Apply is greyed out. I've recently installed Snow Leopard - can anyone confirm that the software works with it? Also whether you can access the web admin page?

Best,

Alex.

Try 2.19.  And Snow leopard has created some new things to work on.   Might take some time.

If you using the Nas Navi Software when trying to access the web admin can cause some problems.  It more than likely just the software doing it.  Take the Ip address and just put it in the address bar of your web browser.  It will bring up the username/password.  (admin/password)

Thanks JoshC of course - can easily login using ip address to bring up the admin page. Kameraman - I'm in UK - the most recent version available in the Downloads section of Buffalo's site is version 2.16!! My Linkstation Live is brand new and shipped with 2.18. The downloads in US region are only available if u have a US serial no. - so I guess I will have to wait for 2.19 Mac version of NasNavigator2 to be put up in the UK downloads section.

BTW: The I'm here button is greyed out. What's it supposed to do? Is it meant to link to Itunes???

Thats not for I-tunes.  I think its funny but when you hit that button your Buffalo will play a little jingle.   I guess they thought that you might lose your unit so they put that on there.:smileywink:
