Title: Computer won't start
Post by: ajpn on October 10, 2009, 10:02:07 AM

I just installed a 1TB drivestation and my computer won't start when it is plugged in. My 500GB drivestation has no effect, but the 1TB locks computer up at the first splash screen.

How can I fix this.

And what is up with that software they force you to keep on the drive? Yes I installed it, but it doesn't do anything except waste space.

XP Pro SP2 P4

Thank you

BTW once I unplug it the computer starts fine. And I can plug it in while it is on and it works fine.

Could be a boot option in your systems bios, as in looking to the device to boot up off of.  Unplug the device go into your bios and change the boot priority.  Besides that try it on another machine and let us know what happens.

Yup, testing the Buffalo set on anothor  computer is the best way to check if the problems lies with the Buffalo set or your computer.

Sorry I didn't get back until now. I will try it on my laptop and have a look at the BIOS and get back to you soon. Thank you for the help.
