Title: HS-DH320GL settings and connection problems
Post by: brian_morgan on October 09, 2009, 06:15:44 PM

NAS Navigator can find the unit and the correct MAC address shows so I know it is seeing the correct unit.

It also shows:

Host name:  HS-DHGL-EMFE7

Workgroup: UNKNOWN

IP Address: 10.255.1.21

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

and Firmware just shows "----"

Also, NAS Navigator cannot "View Shares".   It gives a message:  "Network routing cannot be faound. Confirm network cabling and connection."  Also I cannot connect via the web interface.

I can set the ip via NAS Navigator BUT on power off and on the IP resets to 10.255.1.21

If I reset by holding the init button for 10 sec it plays some music but nothing seems to change.  I expect it to reset to factory defaults and being on the network to reset IP via DHCP but that isn't happening.

I reset once by powering down and holding the init button while powering on but still get same results.

Any suggestions?

OK, never mind.  When I noticed the firmware showing as "----" I thought of trying to update the firmware.

That seems to have solved the problems.  Even with powering down and back up it is working properly now.
