Title: DriveStation FlexNet Firmware Source?
Post by: rkaiser on October 07, 2009, 10:00:37 AM

Hello- I am trying to find the source for the DriveStation model HD-CE1.0TLU2 1 TB unit. At http://opensource.buffalo.jp/gpl_storage.html, I don't see that model listed though. Does that mean it has not been released? If it is elsewhere (or perhaps listed under another model?) let me know.

My goal is to enable the rsyncd service on my unit (in NAS mode), which has been mentioned in this forum as a possibility but this is not documented anywhere.

I would be very appreciative if anyone can help... Thanks.

The FlexNet or "2Share" is not open source and does not come under any opensoruce agreement as far as i'm aware.

Davo- thanks for the info. Given that, can you suggest where I can find out how to enable rsync with the existing firmware (see link in previous post)?

Rsynch is a feature that is not available on this unit.  As Davo stated, this is not an open source product and tampering with the firmware will void your warranty.  Please inquire elsewhere.
