Title: Linkstation Pro, Local User Authentication
Post by: jreardon on October 06, 2009, 09:08:51 AM

LS-W1.0TGL/R1 -US

The device is set to 'ON' power mode.

For the last two days, when we come in in the morning, the device has disconnected overnight.  We then have to goto NETWORK, DOMAIN and login at the Local User Authentication Settings.

The device is essentially being used as a file server for a small domain supporting 17 PC's.  We'd like to not have to tell it to let the users use it every morning.

We are mapped with UNC, and don't seem to be having any other problems with the device at this time.

I would install the newest nas navagator on a few of the workstations that are left on overnight, and also trying a simple mapping \\ip then right click on specific folder and login that way, and give it a drive letter so the shortcut will be under computer/my computer.

I'm gonna put it on the A.D. server, as it is the only computer that I know stays online.

We have one, A.D. Small business server, which is connected to the Linkstation.

What do you mean it disconnects overnight?  Disconnects from AD?  The network?
