Title: TeraStation shows up in iTunes but no music
Post by: biologghe on October 04, 2009, 09:58:22 AM

Hi,

I have found several threads related to this problem, but the solutions did not work for me. Unfortunately.

Model and firmware: HS-DHTGL/R5 2.14

Shared folder name on RAID Array1: terastation1

Mediaserver is running, server password disabled, limit DLNA Client Access disabled, Media Folder set to terastation1/MUSIC

The TeraStation shows up in iTunes (9.0.0.70) in 'Shared' as HS-DHTGLAD: TeraStation. When double clicked, you can see a message 'loading TeraStation ...' but no music appears.

The MUSIC folder definitely contains music files.

Has anybody a clue what is wrong here ?

Thanks and regards

See if you map your music folder is mapped propery using  \\ip address in run or search box and give that folder a drive letter, that might help itunes talk to that folder.  Also disable all firewalls and antivirus and see if that helps.

The music folder is properly mapped. I can access \\Hs-dhtgldad\terastation1\MUSIC without any problem.

Good point about the firewall. MS firewall is not running but I do remember that when running apache on my PC, for instance, it was not possible to access the webserver from another pc in the same domain. Only localhost seemed to work. Could that have to do with it as well.

Thanks for looking into it.
